It is highly recommended that you include fruits such as melons and citrus in your diet. These fruits are rich in potassium and can help balance the amounts sodium in the body. They can also help the body to retain more water.

Dried fruits like apricots and figs are also important. Vegetables such as yams, broccoli and collard greens are crucial too. A good menopause diet should also include soy products. Soy products are helpful and can offer short term relief. They are said to help relieve hot flashes and night sweats. Seaweed, tuna and salmon are also good for you.

You are also encouraged to cut down on the consumption of complex carbs as well as other fattening foods. Minimizing the consumption of these foods helps to balance the various chemicals in your body. Balancing body chemicals can help alleviate some of the menopausal symptoms. Your diet should have foods that are low in fats and also low in cholesterol
